Problem:
Program key for bmw m3 e46 year 2000 with ews3 immobilizer using Autel IM508S XP400 Pro. I have ews3 adapter connected on the ews3. But reading with autel using ews3 adapter failed to communicate.
Error: “Communication error of the programmer.”
Solution:
There is not enough voltage of the Autel IM508S USB cable.
Autel engineer suggest using XP400 Pro PC software to read EWS3 data, then write key with IM508S.
Requires 12V power supply to the XP400 pro.
