Problem:
Programmed a smart key into a 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross using Autel IM608 II, and it works fine but when you get in the car to start it, it says “new key registered, contact dealer”. But it works fine and is registered correctly in the system. How I can delete it?
The error happens on new Toyotas often. This is normal on all new Toyota.
Drive it for a while/a couple of days/weeks, it will go away!!!
It’s part of the Toyota security and the key needs to be linked with Toyota.
That’s some of the new features in Toyota to let the owner know that there is a new key programmed to the car in case you did not approve a new key and someone made a copy while you were not there. If all works fine and there is no codes it should go away in a few start cycles.
