Lonsdor LT20/LT30 vs Xhorse XM38 Toyota, which is a better Toyota Smart key?

FT20 series: older version lower grade board, discontinued.
LT20 series: LT20 series were produced much better quality and boards that fit oem shells.
LT30 series: Latest Lonsdor Toyota smart key board. LT30-01 and LT30-02 Two different shape but both will except your programming format. You can set button function frequency and is reusable.
LT series has better quality, glossy green board, OEM antenna.

You don’t need Toyota GTS plus subscription!! (On AA AA obd2 immo read) on the (BABA adapter plug into the smart box and get your read) same for (4A).
If you do Lexus or Toyota (created for the USA market) they have every board shape to fit the OEM case. Even you have many tools to compare against and it is always your first pick.
It’s pretty much more reliable than the KD remote especially for the large list of frequencies, its 40$ and LT30 is less than $30. The Lonsdor boards are more expensive than Xhorse/KD remotes but they deserves!
Xhorse XM38 Toyota
XM38 are amazing remotes which deal with most of Toyota proximity. XM38 is slightly better on the coverage and price after factor in the shell for XM28. Good for all Toyota car Model programming.
You can use the smart cloning function to quickly check the different firmware files that are offered.
Simply generate remote with another toyota firmware of the same transponder type (4A) and clone the immo data from the programmed XM38 key to the new one.
If the firmware is correct it will all work. If not you will miss functions like keyless entry, start or remote and only the induction emergency start will work. If that is the case try another remote. (or attempt the frequency change on the function you have if only the remote doesn’t work).
The only grief of XM38, is the fitment for older Toyota toy48 blade, need to modify the shell and blade end thickness.
Every tool seems to have different passwords in it for reading the smart box though. Tango, Lonsdor, avdi, xhorse all different. Can’t rely on any single one. You need both.
For example, add key Toyota Mirai 2023, AA board 3450. XM38 fails, Lonsdor from first try. Not bad Lonsdor boards.
