Mazda 3 all keys lost proximity key It was a mission to clear the key light because there is no original key but I got it to work this year does not take four buttons. It only takes three buttons but still the trunk works.
The trick was I had to do Autel universal key because VVDI key doesn’t have the same FCC ID with the universal keys.
After a generated Autel key and programmed it to the vehicle I added the red key then did special functions to remove the key warning lamps.
So the autel univery remote didn’t light up the mazda security light.
If you happen to use the wrong key, and the power gets drained from the battery for any reason, the key will function normally, but the security light will stay on and car will run.
