A customer failed to add a key to 2017 Renault Megane IV keyless (no slot).
Here’s how he did:
Obdstar x300 Pro4 tool (using green renault adapter) read flash, stored file, gave me pincode (not required as all done online) no problem. I connected the P01 adapter and made “Dealer Key”, success, now the new id4A prox card reads as “locked” when I check it with vvdi key tool, as opposed to “unlocked” before I made it a “dealer key”.. Next I go to add key and the tool retrieves the flash file again and instructs me to hold the new key to be added to the start button. I followed all the prompts but the programming failed, it offered to retry repeatedly, but no luck. The key i bought it is the same chip as the original key Any idea what I’m doing wrong here?
Solution:
We have customer did the exact same model but with obdstar X300 DP plus and it works. So, several possibilities for this problem: The version of the Renault program (after an update). downgrade Software version that you use and try. Maybe the free hand card, which is flawed. Check car battery voltage because this model requires a stable voltage above 12 V
Start button on the right of centre console. the area where to lay the map on the start button, on the dashboard. (right next to the wheel)
