Universal Car key programmer review: which is the best

Who has a universal car key programmer for the best coverage/ fullest car list or has used one (Zedfull, AD100, Abrites, MVP Pro, AD900, SKP900, VVDI2)? Opinions? Pros/Cons, etc. Any other suggestions of alternatives?

Auto Key Programmer Reviews:

1- Review: MVP, Zedfull

I have the MVP. Never tried the Zedfull. However, the main thing to remember is that there is no piece of kit that does everything. I have at least 6 different car programming kits of one sort or another. But I still need more!

2- Review: AD900 key programmer

I suppose I was a bit vague. Looking at the product descriptions of both, I’m nonethewiser as to which is better at what functions. At the moment I’m not doing any car keys, but I’ve used an AD900 while working at the local Timpson. I’m looking for something versatile and most importantly covers what the local competitors cannot do (mostly vauxhall, mercedes, ID48’s, remotes, etc)…..I realise I will have a lot to learn with a new coder, but there’s no harm in expanding your knowledge.

3- Review: Zedfull, AD100, Abrites, MVP Pro, AD900

Zedfull has some late model coverage that AD100 doesn’t and vice versa , also Abrites offers plenty of unique coverage too if wanting coverage most competitors don’t have .

Its impossible really to say which is the best of the 2 as both MVP Pro and Zedfull have their strengths and weaknesses versus each other .

Also if looking for coverage competitors do not yet have , you may also have to consider spending more on token free coverage , tokens and unlimited use packs are costly which can make you less competitive than the guys with token free packages , ie armed with either MVP Pro or Zedfull , there’s plenty out there with Abrites and dealer tools that are token free with a wider coverage on newer vehicles , then there’s the guys who specialise in eeprom and are also token free with a wider coverage than all these token machines .

Also the MVP Pro and Zedfull are both the machines of choice of most start ups , lots of both out there , so if wanting an edge that they don’t have then other kit is needed especially for the likes of Mercedes , though Zedfull covers some mercedes .

The AD900 i assume you have used mainly for cloning , Zedfull is a cloner as well with similar cloning coverage to AD900 , but there is a world of difference between cloning and lost key generation especially on late model vehicles , be prepared to spend a small mortgage amount to get and keep up to date , and the best of british to you , its a great job but is expensive and continuous learning curve .

4- Review: MVP, Zedfull

Basically adding the MVP is a full OBD reader / writer and that’s what it is made for ..
Where the Zedfull is a cloner machine / an OBD machine and an EEPROM writer
Both have good points and bad points ..
Depends on 100% what you want , if a shop and this is your first transponder machine a Zedfull could be the way to go !

5- Review: mvp pro , zed full , truecode, abrites, skp900, key diy

Got mvp pro , zed full , truecode, abrites, skp900, key diy and still does not do renault mascot  and cannot compete with others there is a lot of people out there with  much more gear  much cheaper to buy a washing machine and put money in it and watch it wash away , but does make good money some days like the shoes, keys, and engraving  but we love what we do and will not change on here you have some very top pros to help eg rapid locks ,locksafe and transponder Tel so what ever you buy you always need more

6- Review: VVDI2 basic, TM100

I would personally still buy VVDI2 Basic and NOT TM100.

Fly company only know how to speak English when selling items and after sales service they don’t know English except the word $100.

I have 2 x TM100 units that went faulty for no reason. The one was sent back and paid $100 + Shipping costs and it worked for few months and DEAD again.

They cannot help resolve any bugs or issues with their devices whereas so far I see Xhorse has been helping resolve many bugs that were complained about.

Maybe you would save some good $$$$ if you just bought the clone TM100 because there is no real big difference between the last version of the FLY company and the last version of the CLONE. Both suck with support!!!

7- Review: TM100 key programmer

i use TM100 original from fly company full unlimited it work 100% ok.if i have any problem i just talk to fly engineers online then fix it.i’m ok with it.and also it has put me on top in the business really love it.another thing again is that i have friends who have tango formally i use to give them work but now i have tm100 so i don’t give them work again.so please make up your mind

8- Review: AVDI,TM100, Tango, VVDI2 basic

It is allright for many older cars.

Just like the Avdi tagkeytool.

Tm100 is the same as the Tango clone, and they cover a bit more.

Still not as good as Tmpro and Tango.

If you buy just the basic vvdi2, then you better buy the tm100.

But it mostly depends on the brands of cars that you want to do.

9- Review: Tango, TM100

Tango is more stable than TM100
perhaps TM100 remains to be perfect.
but I did not ventured to buy a new product but chose Tango instead

10- Review: Tango, VVDI2

If you are going to make keys from dump and reading with a programmer, buy Tango.

it’s excellent so long as you have good programmers too like xprog etc. Most makes/models have guides with pics. Also many makers are free with standard tool and you can just add when you need

but if you need good tool for BMW CAS/MB EZS (read and write MB IR key), buy xhorse vvdi2. it makes keys over OBD (90% of VAG and BMW can be done by OBD in VVDI2) and includes all the VVDI functions, the function of Tango.

Details… here you go….

Program keys: VVDI2 via OBD, Tango from dump

If you are going to make keys from dump and reading with a programmer buy Tango.
If you are looking to make keys over OBD buy VVDI2 is a good tool for BMW CAS/MB EZS. (read and write MB IR key)

Tango more features, VVDI2 good for OBD

Better buy VVDI2 with VVDI Prog

I personally prefer Tango good support and more features, xhorse it is also a very good for obd.
If you buy VVDI2 i also recommend complement with VVDI programmer.

Tango has guides with pics, free with standard tool

I don’t know VVDI2… but I have tango and it’s excellent so long as you have good programmers too like xprog etc. Most makes/models have guides with pics. Also many makers are free with standard tool and you can just add when you need

VVDI2 + Tango better than Zed full

If you mean original Tango and VVDI2 full…than this group will be better than zed full, thats my opinion…but there is a lot of car that you will need to remove BCM’s, immo’s…etc because vvdi2 and tango are more eeprom based tools, except vvdi2 making bmw and vag over obd2, skp900 and obdstar are obd2 tools but cant help you with fiat, opel, renault and with some few brands

VVDI2 + VVDI Prog good for VAG + BMW

If you looking only for VAG + BMW , then VVDI2 and VVDI prog is way to go. No need any other tool. In VVDI2 you have also programmer similar to Tango that you can make keys buy dump, but 90% of VAG and BMW can be done by OBD in VVDI2.

VVDI programmer don’t have OBD it’s only for bench programming.

Good for CAS4, FRM, EZS, EWS4 and many more.

VVDI2 = VVDI + Tango + …

VVDI 2 includes all the VVDI functions, the function of Tango…. has improved remote control generation and chip identification, and also enhanced the coil’s stability
Moreover, you don’t have to connect VVD2 with a computer or other devices to identify chip or detect remote frequently.

Conclusion:

You cannot find what is the best key programmer machine. There is no key programmer for all cars. All have have good points and bad points. Usually, you’re advised to have one car key programmer complement with other key programmer machines. However, which one you should buy depends on what you use it for. (ONLY YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED!!)

TOP 3 universal key programmers: (esp. for future cars, obd method)

1: Xhorse vvdi2 (you should have it if you’re a professional locksmith)

2: SKP1000 key programmer (if you’re a skp900 fan, you’ll never regret buying skp1000)

3: Obdstar X300 PRO3 (with Immobiliser+Odometer Adjustment+EEPROM/PIC+OBDII+EPB+Oil/Service reset+Battery Matching )

P.s. Read the following tips if you decide to buy items from Chinese:

Tip 1: Quality & Price

In China, you can get anything – at/for any price, problem is that you will have to accept the quality. “You get what you pay for” – And this is more or less true, there will be always someone somewhere “trying to” do it for less, but there are thresholds and once you step under them, you will have to suffer from the results. Quality of a product also depends on the material you purchase (You can’t simply make gold out of wood)

Tip 2: Reasons for low costs

The only reason why the obdii diagnostic cables are made in China is because 90% of the materials (micro-controllers and ICs) come from there. That is, it’s mainly about cost, most people would not be ready to pay 3-4 times the price just for the device being made in Europe or the US.

So, items are produced in high quantity and cost saving here
